In their eighth complete case, Bram Kestrel and Nozomi Kuroda investigate Saint Mercy, a cemetery whose nameless graves lead to the Name House. When Nozomi’s name is taken, she remains physically present—but even her brother Kenji can no longer remember what she is called.
To restore what was stolen, Bram, Nozomi, and their team must confront the false Watch, the Keeper, a supernatural bell mechanism, an unknown child, Bram’s own grave, and seven role traps. The mystery resolves as a complete standalone case while its epilogue opens the door to Book Nine and Room 13.
